Two ways to get the size right. Match your foot length for sandals, and measure a garment you already own for tops and trousers.

Sandals and footwear

Our footwear is sized in EU. The most reliable method is foot length, not your usual size in another system. Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel to a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe, and measure from the wall to the mark in centimetres.

Between two sizes, take the larger one. The cork footbed moulds to your foot over the first couple of weeks, so a pair that starts very snug will not loosen in length. UK and US conversions vary slightly between makers, so trust the foot length column.

Tops, shirts and polos

The most accurate method is to measure a shirt you already own and like the fit of, then compare. Lay it flat and buttoned.

• Chest. Measure across the garment from armpit to armpit, then double it.
• Shoulder. Measure across the back from one shoulder seam to the other.
• Length. Measure from the base of the collar straight down to the hem.
• Sleeve. Measure from the shoulder seam to the cuff.

Trousers

• Waist. Measure across the top of the waistband and double it. Do not pull the tape tight.
• Inseam. Measure from the crotch seam down the inside leg to the hem.
• Leg opening. Measure across the hem and double it.
